It's about $1 per sheet of transparencies and I figure I can get ~6-8 per page (maybe 9 once I have the process finalized). Foil commons are $20 for 100 (so $0.20 apiece and I'm going to see if I can get a better deal at a local store). The other supplies are nearly free (spray glue, ink, and acetone).
So if you are looking at the power only, it's about $4. Adding the Duals would be another $3 (or $4 by themselves).
FYI, I'm only doing alt-art and cards that aren't in foil. If you have requests for specific items that meet those conditions (and if I can find a good pic), let me know and I can try to add it.
PS: When I fly in for John's wedding, I'm going to need to test out this cube you've made. You've tortured me enough by inviting me into the group on FB that is playing it (and giving feedback) without me being able to partake, so you owe me at least one playthrough when I'm in town!

Yeah, I would probably just need the power foils for now. I have some original duals already in the cube.

Hmm, at first glance I'd say the ones with the full-art picture that look kinda like the Zendikar full-art lands. I believe the picture numbers are #79, 85, 93, 98, and 103.
EDIT: For the Black Lotus, probably picture #11 (again, the one that looks like the Zendikar full-art lands).
For the Ancestral Recall, I kinda wanna use the full-art textless one with the Jason Chan illustration (#2), but I'm a little leery of putting any textless cards in the cube, on the chance that someone might not know exactly what it does (I know, what are the odds, but it could happen). Otherwise, the first one with the FNM logo in the background would also work (#1).
For the Time Walk, I was a little confused at first because some of the pictures have a casting cost of 2U, and the actual card only costs 1U. Still, I'd probably go with either #118 or #119.
For the Timetwister, none of these pictures really impress me, but I guess #121 would be the best of the bunch.
Now that I think about it some more, there are a few other obscenely expensive cards I'd be interested in proxying, such as: - Moat (#66) - Ravages of War (#82) - Mana Drain (#58 or #62) - Burning of Xinye (#20) - Rolling Earthquake (#85, #87, #88) - Diamond Valley (#19) - Gaea's Cradle (#26) - Library of Alexandria (#40) - Mishra's Workshop (#50) - Rishadan Port (#63, #67)

The foils are having a high variability of quality. Some look awesome, some are meh, and some just suck. I think the resolution on my printer isn't high enough. They are definitely readable and playable, it's the image that isn't coming out perfectly (there is some fuzzyness and lack of detail). Plus the red color isn't exactly popping and looks slightly orange. Also I wasn't able to center a few perfectly so it has a foil stripe on an edge. The final issue is that it's a bitch to cut away the excess transparency and thus some cards are getting shaved a little on the edges. A quick check shows that a full art borderless Mana Drain (blue card #59 [ Mana Drain #9] if you care) I made for myself is awesome Hopefully I'm able to show it off to you guys and get some in person feedback and then for those who I won't see (likely Andrew B.) I would love comments or suggestions when you see them (if you do).

Hey Chris,
Please post your PayPal info so I can compensate you for the foils. Or, if you prefer, I can mail you however many foils I have sitting around not being used ATM.

Hey Travis, I'm trying to start up a cube, and I've just been wondering: what cards from m14 and theros do you plan on including in your cube? (Aside from reprints and their functional twins)

Hey Travis, I'm trying to start up a cube, and I've just been wondering: what cards from m14 and theros do you plan on including in your cube? (Aside from reprints and their functional twins) Hi Zach, sorry for totally missing this post. From M14, I am currently using Chandra Pyromaster. I will likely try out Kalonian Hydra, Elvish Mystic, Imposing Sovereign, and Shadowborn Demon. From Theros, so far nothing, but that's just because I haven't had the chance to try them out. Theros has a lot of things that are worth trying. - First, there are three new 2/1 creatures for 1 mana (Firedrinker Satyr, Tormented Hero, Soldier of the Pantheon). Any 2/1 for 1 is always worth adding, and these guys bring extra abilities to the table. - Elspeth, Sun's Champion should probably replace Elspeth Tirel. - Spear of Heliod should replace Glorious Anthem. - Hero's Downfall should replace some sort of mono-black removal spell...which one is up for debate. - Steam Augury is probably quite good, and will find a home in the Izzet section. - Lightning Strike is another functional reprint of a cube staple that is always good in multiples. - Other things I'd consider are Thassa, Ember Swallower (cuz I promote the Wildfire archetype), Xenagos, Polukranos, Sylvan Caryatid. Your results may vary.
