I went mono-black the first draft. It was fast, vampire goodness that we all know and love to it's core with Crypt Rippers for backup... I didn't lose an official game 6-0 (6-3 when I proceeded to lose game fun vs all opponents).
Then I went 1-2 with mono-red. The deck looked well but Molten Ravager on turn 3 tended to do nothing until turn 5-6 because I was dropping all my higher end stuff and on the most part my opponents had flyers to keep me from blocking profitably. Ended up 3-4 in games for the night.

Another wonderful night, another set of 2-0-1 (and winning both the 'draws' for first place) First deck was Black/Red. Intimidate ftw. I got almost nothing in the way of burn so I had to rely on my black removal to keep the opponent from getting too far ahead. Also, in game 1 of the finals I was playing Nikki and she missed a Bold Defense with kicker to kill me if she team swung. The second deck was White/Black. I was black/red pack one until I noticed about pick 5 that no one had picked a Kor Skyfisher (noone wants to be white? really?!). As such I figured it was my duty to pick up all the broken white shit and beat people down with it. I ended up with really quick black beats and Rite of Replication/Felidar Sovereign to win the long game (triple Narrow Escape and double Grim Discovery plus Bloodghast). The colors were horrendous with me needing anything from double black turn 2 for Bloodghast to triple white for Conqueror's Pledge turn 5. I did have fixing in the way of a B/W fetch and 2 Kor Cartographers.
