I don't really like this. You have a total of 7 Faeries (unless you count the 4 Mutavaults), so how effective is Spellstutter Sprite going to be?
Tarmogoyf also seems really out of place here - you're splashing an extra color in a control deck so that you can include 4 aggro beatdown cards in a control deck?

I would say it's somewhat effective. Usually the casting cost in extended is 1-2 (with a few others). You have spell snare for the 2 CC spells and Spellstutter Sprite hits the 1 CC.
The question isn't why you put in Tarmogoyf, it's why you don't run him. He costs 2 mana, green is crazy splashible in a deck like this, and he stops opposing goyfs.

from what i understand is for it to push on to this season it needs to adapt to punishing fire/grove of the burnwillows combo
