My bro and I are on vacation right now out in Santa Rosa and we found a sizeable magic store to get some gaming in. Met a couple of guys and did a triple shards draft with them which included an elspeth, a foil elspeth, a hellkite overlord, and a violent ultimatum (all in a four man pod lol).
I drafted and took it down with this insane deck, forgot how much fun this set was-
1 naya panorama 1 jund panorama 1 bant panorama 1 jungle shrine 5 forest 5 plains 4 mountain 1 elspeth, knight-errant 1 angelic benediction 1 jungle Weaver 1 algae gharial 1 wooly thoctar 2 wild nacatl 2 soul's fire 2 bloodthorn taunted 1 resounding thunder 1 bull cerodon 1 naya charm 1 magma spray 1 akrasan squire 1 mosstodon 1 oblivion ring 1 gustrider exuberant 1 godtoucher 1 rakeclaw gargantuan 1 bloodpyre elemental

Yeah, I remember drafting triple-Shards two or three times per week back in the days of Milwaukee MTG. It was a great set, and unfortunately was not as good with Conflux or Alara Reborn.
I still remember getting passed the nut Esper deck with Sharuum, Sharding Sphinx and countless other great artifact creatures. That draft was insane.
Elspeth was pretty much the best card to open in that set, and if you got lucky enough to do so, you should expect to take it down. I hope you took home the foil Elspeth.
