I got one in draft last night too if you need it Thanks for the offer. If the meta evolves to the point where 4 Thalias are required, I'll take it, but right now the majority of lists out there run exactly 3 copies.

So, I'm thinking that I'm going to build either this list or U/W Stoneblade. The issue I have with the two lists...
I need a TON of cards for Maverick. All I have are the 3 Stoneforges, a pair of Batterskulls, a pair of G/B Swords, and 2 Qasali Pridemages. This list also loses pretty hard to Goblins, fish, and combo decks. Lands is also a difficult matchup, because they dump a Tabernacle, and a few mazes and you cry.
With U/W I still need quite a few cards, but they're also much more expensive. But I have the Soneforge package, the snapcasters, the Zendikar fetch lands, and a Clique. This list is much more resilient to the other decks in the format.

Zach u/w stoneforge is going to require some serious investment. I'm guessing you don't have force of wills, underground seas, jittes?, and jaces, all of which are gonna run you probably over half a grand.
In some of the recent posts people made on here about legacy there's ways to get into it for less, albeit if your set on using your snapcasters I'm sure there's some budget delver lists out there that are still pretty effective.
I don't think maverick has a lot of the problems your alluding to either. It took down three top slots at the Baltimore open and is just as competitive as other decks in the format even without force of will. Testing will really show where certain cards can help or hurt a matchup. When people say a deck is dead to another deck it just shows a serious lack of effort on their part, there's almost always things you can do to tighten matches up.

Maverick took the top slots it did, due to the decrease in popularity of the decks I had mentioned. They went away, due to the prevalence of Delver lists, and the power level of Snapcaster... Particularly in combination of Brainstorm.

Zach u/w stoneforge is going to require some serious investment. I'm guessing you don't have force of wills, underground seas, jittes?, and jaces, all of which are gonna run you probably over half a grand. Agreed. I'm only interested in making something like this because I already had the Forces (240), Snapcasters (100), Flooded Strands (160), Mystics (30), Tundras (450), Wastelands (180), etc. If you don't have much of a card pool, Stoneblade is definitely NOT the place to start. Furthermore, now that people have discovered that Lingering Souls is also good in Legacy, every Stoneblade deck is now splashing black, which means you'll need Underground Seas (140 apiece), etc. In some of the recent posts people made on here about legacy there's ways to get into it for less, albeit if your set on using your snapcasters I'm sure there's some budget delver lists out there that are still pretty effective. There are several different Delver lists in Legacy. Most of them are UR-based, and some splash a third color, with green being the most common for Goyfs. Unfortunately, that deck is also pretty expensive, since you need 6-8 blue duals, 4 Forces, and some fetches. Totally agree. The best thing about Maverick is that it's the ultimate toolbox deck. - It's built around the four copies of Green Sun's Zenith, which allow you to go dig up all kinds of cheap, efficient answers for whatever problems you might run into. - The best cards against almost everything are Mother of Runes, Knight of the Reliquary (which can dig up more toolbox cards in the form of lands), and Swords to Plowshares. - Furthermore, there are at least three different variations of Maverick (straight GW, splash blue for Jace and Geist of Saint Traft, or splash red for the Punishing/Grove combo), so it is extremely versatile. - Most lists used to run a couple Stoneforge Mystics in order to dig up various equipments (yet another toolbox) such as Jitte, Batterskull, and Sword of X and Y. More recently, players have adapted to the format by cutting Mystics and dropping the equipment count down to just a pair of Jittes, since Jitte is by far the best equipment ever printed. - I don't have too much experience against Goblins, but I would think that Mother of Runes would be an excellent card against them, especially on turn 1. Thalia is also pretty annoying because of first-strike and the ability to make burn spells slower. Finally, Knights fetching up Maze of Ith would probably be a hassle to deal with, as would an active Scavenging Ooze (side rant: damn that card for skyrocketing up to $40 now) If you really want to try your hand at Legacy, I would advise you to read the article that I posted awhile back on budget Legacy. It has at least six different decks that are much cheaper than the average list. Keep in mind that the average Legacy list (with duals and fetches galore) is much more expensive than the average Standard list will ever become. Also remember that you can play certain Legacy decks without duals or fetches (Affinity, Pox, Welder, Elves, etc).
