With fantasy football still a ways away I thought of a fantasy draft that involves Magic. Tell me what you guys think of it.
Selection can be limited to a set, a block, or larger scale and you go down the draft order selecting cards. If a card is selected by one person then no one else can select that card. It'd be like a FMN but with fantasy football draft approach. You'd select until you had at least 40 cards each then you could vary your lands to your preference.
The draft could take a bit of time if working with 40 cards but if the time was given and interest was high it could be a unique way to draft.

There's actually already a format like this, it's called Rochester draft. You generally play with teams but each pack is opened one at a time and then laid out in front of everyone. Then it goes down the line for picks with the last person picking twice, until it gets back to the first person who picks twice. Its not a common format any more though because it takes a very long time but if you have an entire day for a draft and willing participants it can be a lot of fun.
