There's just one big problem with that and every other Jund list: 4x Tarmogoyf I have every thing else on that list, including the shocks, fetches, Bobs, Lilianas, and all the rest, but there's just no substitute for those $100 'Goyfs. Luckily, you can still make a wicked Birthing Pod list.

Hey man, if you're willing to invest in the Goyfs, I can loan you the rest of the deck...

Another video on Birthing Pod, now with more Deathrites and Abrupt Decays: www.channelfireball.com/articles/channel-smdster-melira-modern-event/Anyone else have an interest in playing Modern? I don't know much about the format, but a quick look at the Modern forum on MTGSalvation shows the following as "proven" decks: - Affinity - Birthing Pod (Naya or Junk) - Infect (various colors) - Jund - Red X Deck Wins - Scapeshift - Tron - Twin (Splinter Twin combo) - UR Storm combo - Ux Tempo (basically various Delver lists) - Uxx Control (Teachings, other various lists) - White life gain (Martyr/Proc, Soul Sisters, etc) - Wx tokens (Mono white, BW, GW) Anyone interested in this format at all?

Seriously, are there any events in the area or in the near future for Modern? There's another Birthing Pod combo video on ChannelFireball and it's just awesome.
Kinda sad for the Jundies who lost their beloved Bloodbraid Elf...not sure why that would make the format better, but oh well.
