It can set up some interesting situations in multiplayer. I also find it interesting it doesn't turn off shroud.
The 2nd ability is somewhat relevant too. I see it being played in modern infect (hexproof + unblockable = death).
I see Legion Loyalist as playable in standard RDW. The possibility of trample + first strike on a 1/1 haste body isn't bad.

Chris agreed, both those cards seem very powerful and loyalist would be an auto include in my current RDW list. Also he'd be another card besides ash zealot that's good with stonewright.
I think he creates a new direction the deck can take in running 12-14 one drops instead of 8-10, possibly replacing lightning mauler or some burn slots. The ability seems incredibly relevant

I also like how with trample in RDW, attack with a creature, they block with an infamous 5/3 that shall not be named, which you lighting bolt (after defenders), and you get to trample over for damage

All kidding aside, it is nice that you can trample damage through after you've "removed" the blocker.

@legion Loyalist: Damn, I didn't read that card enough. Yeah, I'd play him in Standard too.
Finally, we have a new EDH land staple in Thespian's Stage, and a new staple removal spell in Merciless Eviction.

So...the green Primordial is like Primeval Titan + Terastodon - the tokens. Time for the ban-hammer?

Lol, not even close to ever getting banned. It's a one time effect, instead of a continual effect, and it can only get forests. Not to mention you only get 1 per opponent, instead of 3 regardless.
Cheers

I suppose the fetching of non-basics is also a big deal...getting Urborg + Coffers would be pretty strong.
Still, setting everyone else back one permanent and putting yourself up 2-4 lands is a pretty big swing. I imagine this is going to be very close to Prime Time + Terastodon.

In other news, the full Gatecrash spoiler is now available.
I'm planning on going to a shop in Baraboo for the prerelease on Saturday (so that Jenna and one of her friends can go dress-shopping). Anyone else wanna go with me?

I'll join you Travis. That is of course if we're playing cards and not dress shopping...

I'll join you Travis. That is of course if we're playing cards and not dress shopping... No, I've been forced to sit through enough episodes of Say Yes to the Dress for one lifetime. We'd have to leave by about 8 or 830 in order to get there on time. So far, there's four of us going: me, Pat (Edgewood), Scott (Sun Prairie) and Jenna's friend's husband Mike (Verona). Since we're all kinda spread out, I'm still working on finding a centralized meeting place. Also, while I don't want to discourage others from coming, we would probably need either a bigger vehicle or a second vehicle if we get any more. Would be kinda neat to caravan up there, though, just like the good old days.

I assume your going to labyrinth games? If so did you check if they're doing it for $25?
I'd very slim chance be interested. I'd have to sell some cards and then there's gas money to worry about, especially if another vehicle gets added. Too bad no one has a giant van with no seats in the back. . . Now that was the good old days.

Nick and I are considering coming. We don't have a useable car though, Pat do you have a vehicle or Travis could you pile us in? Baraboo isn't very far away so I don't care if its a little crampedcramped

My car can seat four or five, but six is not going to happen without using the roof or the trunk. I'm also hoping either Pat or Scott can drive.
