Hey guys, I just recently picked up a box of gatecrash, and I got about 120% value back, just in rares, plus all the common and uncommon fluff to fill out decks. Only 1 boros charm though Anyway... A few of the cards I got, I'm wondering on a few of their values, I'll list them and their price tag... (These are scg prices, since I have the app on my phone) Domri Rade - 25 Aurelia - 25 Prime Speaker - 13 Boros Reckoner - 13 Legion Loyalist - 5 Thespian's stage - 4 Dusk mantle Seer - 12 Thoughts on whether to keep or trade these?

1st off these days I usually think of value based on what you could actually get, so lets look at that. The first price is going to be the lowest NM on tcgplayer, the next is the last closing ebay sale, and lastly channel fireball buy price. Then I'll advise what I'd do with it-
Prices: TCG Sale Price Ebay Sold Price last auction (-$1.75 if they included free shipping) Channel Fireball Buy Price
Domri Rade: $17.25 $17.99 $12.00
(planeswalker who may or may not see standard play. If it were me, I'd wait one more weekend and then sell)
Aurelia, the Warleader: $15.50 $14.50 $12.00
(I think most of the value here is due to it being very cool for EDH with big casual appeal. I like the card a lot and could see it staying $8-10, but I sold mine)
Prime Speaker Zegana: $9.00 $5.00 $6.00
(kind of an unknown at this point, I would possibly keep although it may never break $10-12)
Boros Reckoner: $9.00 $8.00 $6.00
(This card is really good and you typically need x4 of him. He'll see play in a lot of formats. I'd keep on the potential that he hits $15-20)
Legion Loyalist: $3.39 $2.00 $2.00
(This card might see play in legacy with goblins, it was very underwhelming for me in standard and that's what I've heard from everyone else too. Really early to tell. That said, it can't really drop lower, might as well keep it)
Thespian's Stage: $2.40 $1.44 n/a
(this land seems heavily underrated to me, looks like an EDH staple. Keep until it goes up)
Duskmantle Seer: $8.00 $9.00 $5.00
(is there some buzz on this card I don't know about? It's a Bob for both players, which you could obviously abuse, and it's a nice body, I can't imagine it stays this high unless it finds a home or has already found one)

How much do you think thespian's stage will go up? The fact that it taps when it becomes a copy is really unfortunate...

No clue, but I think the drawback is minor since the ability is reusable and it can copy anything. Coffers, maze of ith, legend rule tabernacle, yavimaya hollow, any kind of utility land, etc.
Vesuva is a one-time use that comes into play tapped and it's typically been $5 +

I'm really unsure about seer as well. It's two turns later than bob. But It might be cool to build a low-cc edh deck Around him, and watch your opponents get chunked for 5 + Each turn while you get searing speared at the worst.

Reckoner is still around $10 on TCG, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up now that it's found a home in multiple decks as a 4-of.
I'm surprised to see Aurelia's Fury still sitting at $15! I ripped another one in my draft packs at I'm Bored on Sunday (which I 3-0'd again with Orzhov. extort + auras soooo good. Not to mention I easily splashed for the Fury). The card is just not that great for standard and if anything it's a 1-2 of in control decks. I'm getting rid of this one as soon as I can.

Stores are now buy-listing reckoner at $10, so I can see it still having some room to grow.

Reckoner is now up to $20 on TCG and out of stock on starcity.
Glad I got him when I did, although DAMN i wish I had pulled the trigger that Tuesday that I had planned (prior to the release weekend when he was $3)

Yeah, he's definitely in that category of cards that used to be at a very low cost before they were "discovered", along with Jace TMS (used to be $25) and Huntmaster (used to be like $10) and Consecrated Sphinx (used to be less than $5).
Deathrite Shaman was in that boat for awhile as well. I got both my foil Deathrites for $10 each, now that foil is up to $55. I should sell those two...

Unless you need cash, hold them. Those guys will be played in Legacy/Modern for years, and the foils will always be in demand.
