As some of you may have seen, I recently built a deck around Yeva, Nature's Herald. It's exactly what it sounds like: a bunch of green creature spells that can all become instant-speed whenever Yeva's around. It's pretty strong as it is, and I've won a couple of games already by simply flashing a bunch of stuff in at someone else's end step.
However, I have also recently acquired foil copies of a couple of Simic commanders: Prime Speaker Zegana and Momir Vig. Adding blue would allow me to run other flash-enablers like Teferi and Leyline in addition to Yeva. So, the question is should I keep the deck mono-green, or try and add blue?

Keeping it mono-green sounds more fun, unless you don't like your current momir deck enough to keep it intact. Also, how badly do you want to keep that foil Speaker?

Funny you should ask...I actually got a pair of foil Speakers at $20 apiece. I'd be willing to part with one or both of them for the same price. I don't currently have a Momir deck...my old list was basically built around getting the Seedborn/Teferi combo in play, but that list is a couple of years old and needs some serious work. Plus, Yeva does a pretty good job of giving my whole hand flash, so all I need to do is dig up a Seedborn Muse and I'm good to go. Blue did add quite a few nice bounce effects to the table.

Believe me, I can understand the merits of adding blue to any deck. Especially when paired up with green cards.
The biggest downside I can see to UG is that you will no longer have access to a flash enabler right away. You will be at the mercy of drawing one or tutoring it up, except for the rare time you start with Leyline in play. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's worth thinking about. Blue does offer a ton of creatures that naturally have flash as well.
And yes, I would be interested in a foil Zegana. Anything you're looking for right now or would you just prefer cash?

Eh, there's a couple things I could sorta use, like a 3rd Huntmaster or a 4th Revelation, but nothing really jumps out at me, so I'd probably just prefer cash.
As for my list, the biggest reason that I went mono-green was that I wasn't in love with any of the Simic commanders and I really just loved what Yeva brings to the table.

I think making it U/G defeats the awesomeneses of the deck completely. The whole "cool" part about the deck is that Green is doing something it's not *Supposed* to do, whereas blue already has tons of flash cards. Plus staying mono green allows you to focus more on ramping and other fun spells for the theme of the deck rather than having more competition. I'd say just build a seperate U/G deck rather than break apart Yeva. You can never have too many EDH decks

You can never have too many EDH decks I'm going to tell you what Stephen Lynch tells people who have queer tattoos: "Nigger, please". But, you make an excellent point about Yeva - she allows green decks to do things they really aren't supposed to do, and every time someone attacks into my "empty board" with their little 1 or 2 power creature, I get a little happier inside. For reference, here's my current list: deckstats.net/decks/1079/2636--edh-yeva-nature-s-herald/en
