Hey all,
One last thing I need to finish up with my cube is to find a set of basic lands to sleeve up and use exclusively within the cube. Ideally, I'd probably want to have 50 of each basic land as a part of the cube. If possible, they might even be all the same picture or even the same block.
Right now, I'm looking at a few potential choices: - Invasion lands (for the nostalgia factor). - 10th edition lands (extremely colorful, new-age border). - M13 lands (also very colorful, particularly the Noah Bradley ones).
As always, I appreciate any input that others might have on this subject. What's your favorite land-cycle, or rather, what cycle of lands would you like to look at when you're playing with cube decks?
Please keep in mind that I'd prefer to keep the cost of said lands at 25-50 cents apiece, or less. So, unless someone's willing to donate a large pile of lands to the cause, there probably won't be any full-art Zendikar lands or anything quite like that.

wisconsinmagic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=schedule&action=display&thread=657If you want to keep within a cycle, I would either go Urza, Invasion, M10, or M13. I don't know if you will be able to find enough Invasion or Urza lands at $.25 apiece. You definitely need to standardize on one picture per type of land. I did it with my lands and it looks awesome. My choices: Odyssey Plains #333 M10 Island #237 Avacyn Restored Swamp #238 Zendikar Mountain #244 Zendikar Forest #248 I have over 100 lands of each. It did end up costing me ~$150 for the basic land, but IMHO was totally worth it. My only regret is that I play constructed so rarely that I don't get to use them much. I couldn't find enough Mirage Mountain D so I ended up going with Zendikar #244. I will eventually get enough Mirage Mountain D but it may take a few years.

My personal faves-
Time Spiral lands Revised Avacyn Restored Ravnica
I h8 urza's lands. M13 would be mildly acceptable. Anything John Avon would also probably be ok

Wut!? I like the mountains in the mist feel of the Urza Mountains. The Islands give off a feeling of an unspoiled island. The Forests hint of an undiscovered paradise full of wonderful things to see and untold bounties.
I will give you that the swamps don't move me. For a Phyrexia set, they didn't push the design. The Plains give you a good idea of Sierra's realm of living on clouds in they sky, but it's not my thing.

Gurus. All the way I might actually have some invasion basics kicking around the "land I never use" box. I doubt I have 50 of the same picture though.

@chris: Thanks for linking that thread, I remember you had one but I couldn't find it. @john: Some of the 10th/Invasion lands are done by Avon, but he's one of the few widely-recognized names among artists, so they might be a bit more expensive/harder to get in bulk. That being said, if you know anyone with a stack of them, I'd be happy to swap him some others from my land box. Any particular lands you prefer from TSP/Rav/Avacyn Restored? @revised lands: Most of the rest of the cube will be black-bordered, so I'm not terribly keen on making the lands all white-bordered. Furthermore, I kinda like the idea of the giant mana symbol instead of the text box. That being said, if the group prefers them, I'm willing to do it. @andrew: Totally going with Gurus. Let me know how many of each basic you might have.
