I think you should try for that rug flash deck. All the other ones you listed aren't competitive enough. That Junk deck just durdles along and gets into long stalemates with similar decks. It doesn't have any reach. Human Reanimator is favorable against the top deck; Junk Reanimator, but the aggro matchup (RDW, Naya and Jund) is abysmal. The immortal decks have some really strong games but from what I've seen they have a few matchups that are really tough and I haven't seen one make tier one status.
RUG Flash is good. I watched a guy I know at the shop (Josh) play it last night and Nick lost to him in the tournament playing my mono red list. It has fairly favorable matchups, the esper control and reanimator are tough ones but you can compensate for this with Rapid Hybridization and Ground Seal which Jeff mentions in his article. The deck also just looks stupid fun, flashing in EOT huntmasters and repeatedly flipping them. And Wolfir Avenger is still amazing against everybody, he crushed me in the last two tournaments when I played against mostly mono green aggro. He's also good against esper.
A few other possible considerations- in the last week, Bant Delver and Turbo Fog have both made multiple top 8s on MTGO premieres. I played against both online and at the store and they are both very good. I'm quite impressed with the fog deck. I can get lists if you need it although my vote is still hands down RUG Flash

Does everyone know what they are playing yet?
I need to fill in a few things and am hoping to borrow over buy. Particularly the more costly items, uncommons and commons I'll pick up if I'm missing.
Also what's been winning lately? In case I need to make a change to the list I've been working on.
Current list is as such 4 Undercity Informer 4 Garruk Relentless (missing 2) 2 Angel of Serenity 4 Thragtusk (missing 2) 4 Avacyn's Pilgrim 3 Arbor Elf 4 Call of the Conclave 4 Selesnya Charm 2 Geist-Honored Monk 2 Fiend Hunter 4 Temple Garden (missing some lands, not sure which at the moment) 4 Sunpetal Grove 4 Isolated Chapel 4 Godless Shrine 4 Overgrown Tomb 2 Angel of Glory's Rise 2 Unburial Rites 3 Gavony Township 1 Vault of the Archangel (missing) SB: 3 Rancor SB: 2 Obzedat, Ghost Council (could be something else, missing 1 if I play it, trostani maybe?) SB: 4 Lingering Souls (missing 4) SB: 2 Druid's Deliverance (not sure how good, could be something else, might want the play set) SB: 4 Sundering Growth (like the idea, but could be something else)
Side board is up in the air a little bit, I've got ideas, but not sure how good they are. That may need some work. Only thing I'm pretty sure on is lingering souls and rancor.
The list is geared to combat quick aggro and sideboard evolve into a junk tokens deck to combat control. Not sure how it fairs verse animator mirror, though mine has a lot more dudes to swing in with earlier hopefully putting them on a quicker clock.

No problem. I'd shoot for something similar to Brian Braun-Duin's list from the Invitational. It's close to what you posted and I played it a bunch online this last weekend. mtgpulse.com/event/12808#179445Acidic Slime was pretty awesome at combating the mirror, other control decks, and just randomly land hosing opponents. I unfortunately don't have any of the cards you mentioned but Travis might or Andrew? (note - if you do go the more tokens heavy route, this is an outdated list that my friend played to 2nd at States last year- magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=1058903)As for me and my deck, I'm settled on Mono Red, and about 60 of my 75 cards. I'm currently battling whether I want to "Go big" with Thundermaw Hellkites and lots of burn or go small with burning-tree synergy. I'm probably going small, but still trying to figure out my burn package and sideboard. I'm also direly in need of testing, and trying to figure out where I can squeeze it in this week. I've played a TON of standard in the last few months, but I need to figure out specific scenarios

Also, does anyone have any extra Augur of Bolas, Azorius Charm, Searing Spear, or Sulfur Falls that I could borrow for this Saturday? I'm willing to purchase them if absolutely necessary, but I'd prefer not to if possible. Thanks!

"The games you draw 2-4 Emissaries are often over before they begin. All the opponent can do is mumble “I hate that card” or call you names." ;D
Good article. Bant is very powerful, the commentary in the article is mostly spot-on, and I like that they acknowledge the weaknesses.
UWR is better than they give it credit for, but Bant Midrange is no joke. It's a tough match to play for both sides.

ARGH!?! Now I want to play Bant midrange, but I don't have any Smiters. Worth it to drop $12 on a set?
