Two new generals as well.

@jeleva: The wording implies that she doesn't profit from blink triggers, which I think is a good thing. It will be interesting to see how easy it is for her to attack profitably. She does have flying, which is good, but she's still pretty tiny in the EDH world.
@prossh: I like this guy...he reminds me a lot of Avenger of Zendikar, except his tokens only make him bigger, not vice versa.

Both work very well from the Command Zone, sort of a reverse Karador effect. And yeah, every time Jeleva dies and is recast she would not recognize previously exiled cards.

I wish I could pass on this but likely I'll pick it up because I'll need the legacy staples that are in them.

Why wouldn't Jeleva recognize previously exiled cards by her? There is nothing saying the cards exiled previously can't still be used much like Nightveil Specter would always have access to cards it exiled if Nightveil Specter was returned to the battlefield from the yard or if the card was not cast same turn it was exiled (amassing cards you can cast from exile pile).

Unfortunately Nick both Jeleva and Nightveil Specter cannot cast their cards once they leave the battlefield. Both cards become new objects once they change zones and since their abilities are linked abilities (to them as an object) the ability ceases to be linked once the permanent changes zones.
" 403.4 Whenever a permanent enters the battlefield, it becomes a new object and has no relationship to any previous permanent represented by the same card, except for the cases listed in rule 400.7 (this is also true for any objects entering any zone)."
"607.2b If an object has an ability printed on it that generates a replacement effect which causes one or more cards to be exiled and an ability printed on it that refers either to "the exiled cards" or to cards "exiled with [this object]," these abilities are linked. The second ability refers only to cards in the exile zone that were put there as a direct result of a replacement event caused by the first ability."

They should really find a better way to word this on the cards directly then. The card texts doesn't reflect that despite the rule text.

Oh man, I finally get the perfect general for a WUG blink deck. The other bant guy is decent as well.

Link to the spoiler: www.mtgsalvation.com/commander-2013-spoiler.htmlI purchased a set for $125 from my local game shop. While not likely EDH playable, what does everyone think of True-Name Nemesis? I'm sad it's a rare and thus will only be printed in one box. I can only hope that Mana Crypt gets reprinted as the mana rock for the set (like in the last one with Sol Ring - which is back up to $10!) And restore looks interesting. Assuming you are playing at a shop with powered decks, it gives you access to fetch lands. Additionally, you can now get copies of enemy lands that you strip mine/wasteland. Opal Palace has some good interactions with generals that use +1/+1 counters (Marath, Will of the Wild, Animar, Soul of Elements and Ghave, Guru of Spores).

With the first round of these, there were plenty of good deals to be had on preorders. I think retailers wised-up once they realized good cards would actually end up being printed in them. That's a shame, but not a shock. These should still be widely available at major retailers. Nemesis is the only legacy playable card I've seen spoiled so far. I like most of the legendary creatures spoiled so far. I'm glad to see a WUB general that's actually useful in a non-artifact build. I think you're dreaming if you expect Mana Crypt to end up in any of these. I'm not saying I wouldn't love it...I just don't see it happening.

They are going for retail many places online, which IMHO isn't a bad deal. I dislike how they are printing some legacy cards in them. It drives the price up quite a bit and results in some of the decks going crazy in price.
Do you know if they will be available at retail stores like Walmart/Target?
A man can hope about mana crypt right? I want one for EDH and it's insane trying to find one to trade and I'm not yet willing to pony up $50+ for a card I'll use maybe once a year in a tournament (and while I care about winning in casual EDH play, I don't care enough to spend $50+ on a card that isn't critical to the deck).
While we are talking about commander, does anyone know if there are 3 ring binder sheets that hold commander sized cards?

I don't know about Walmart/Target, but I would have to think they will be. They are not a limited release product like FTV. They are like duel decks, fat packs, etc. There's no reason to limit distribution only to game stores.

I'm hoping that the price on Command Tower and Sol Ring don't drop too much so I can get a good amount of trade value from them. I have the five from the original set, no need to have another set of 5 There are a few interesting cards. I like the Baleful Strix and Basalt Monolith reprint. I don't know how I feel about the P3K reprints, wish they had reprinted some of the insanely expensive ones instead. Act of Authority is pretty good. I'm not happy about the Rubinia Soulsinger reprint. She's becoming a cliche for anyone that wants to play Bant (including myself). I even went out of my way to purchase one from Legends back in the day, and the new picture looks better so the price will drop
