So, I've been decorating my apartment and I'm thinking about purchasing an uncut sheet of cards for my office.
Does anyone know of any place that sells uncut sheets (outside ebay)? I'm likely looking for a sheet from Tempest block, Urza block, or Alara Block. I don't have several grand to drop on a sheet, but I could come up with a reasonable chunk of change (and I'm budgeting $200-250 for professional conservation/museum glass framing).

ebay is really your best bet for these. Not many retailers have them. I think Cardhaus used to have a few in stock, but it doesn't look like they are listed anymore. I used to have a saved search for them on ebay and one would pop up at auction every month or two.

I know you saw Steve Port's facebook port. I'm curious what an uncut sheet of Modern Masters is worth. I would estimate $1000 but it could be much higher if there is Tarmogoyf or Dark Confidant on it.

It really depends on what sheet it is. C/UC sheets tend to go for a little less than the R/M sheets. It also really depends on how many have been available.
Since that one is going up for a charity auction, I can see it breaking the $1k mark. However, on ebay, I personally believe it would go for much less. Just looking at recent ebay sold listings, it looks like most sheets of current/recent sets are going for around $200.

The reason I see it going for $1k+ is there are some seriously expensive foils on it (assuming it's a rare sheet). There isn't a foil in standard that reaches the $300 a foil Tarmogoyf costs. Even foil Dark Confidant and V. Clique are seriously expensive cards, and you have to figure out what the value of cutting the sheet apart is (after cutting fees) or what cutting the sheet apart into misprints would be worth.
I've been watching ebay but reasonably priced sheets are rare. I used to play SW:TCG by Decipher and am tempted to pick up an uncut sheet of it if I can't find an uncut sheet of MtG. The only reason I don't snap purchase a cheap sheet is the framing costs are expensive which drives up the total price of the project significantly.

I don't think the the MM sheet is foil. Steve's post only says it's an uncut sheet.
How much are you looking to spend on a sheet? $200 seems to be about the average rate.

Hmmm, I was just assuming that the MM sheet is foil because I haven't seen a recent uncut sheet that wasn't foil. I had even heard that Wizards no longer gave out non-foil sheets.
Price varies depending on what is offered.
Tempest/Urza Block rares: $200-250 Urza Block foil rares: $250-300 Alara Block foil rares: $200-250 Post Alara Block (non-core set) foil rares: $150-200 Post Alara Block core set foil rares: ~$150
The reason for Tempest/Urza is because it's when I first started really playing the game (sentimental value). Same for Alara block because I started really getting back into the game again at that time. Post Alara I've been playing pretty consistently, but it's not as sentimental as the above mentioned blocks. I will also say I would pay a small premium for RTR block because I played a ton of it.
I would also purchase Tempest/Urza/Alara block uncommon/common sheets but it's hard to put a value on them and I would want to see what is on them.
