I'm going to miss M14 draft. I think I've either split 1st, got 1st or got 2nd in every draft I played in.
I earned so much store credit that I purchased the big stuff from M14, completed my legacy slivers deck (except for the Force of Wills, only got two of those), finished a Modern Scapeshift deck, and got a ton of small EDH stuff!
I can only hope that Theros is as profitable!
I don't know how much everyone else drafts, but IMHO drafting is like any other skill and increased practice will increase your skill. When you draft a ton you get better at drafting faster than other players and thus you end up winning more. This results in increased interest (and money/resources) to continue drafting. It's a virtuous cycle!
If anyone wants to increase their playskill, I would highly recommend seriously drafting 2+ times a week when Theros comes out. It is an expensive up front to learn the format, but once you've gotten good at it there is so much money to be made between what you draft and your winnings. This is doubly true with Theros because we'll be drafting it (in some way) for the next 9 months.
